WHY: November is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and the award-winning local winery,Oreana is bringing out a new limited edition red wine blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon with the unique goal of raising funds for Alzheimer’s research called Tilly. Ten percent of all sales of Tilly will generate funds for the California Central Coast Alzheimer’s Association starting November 1 and will continue throughout the year. Just who is Tillyand why did owner and winemaker Christian Garvin name the blend Tilly? It was to honor his Italian grandmother who passed away from the disease as a tribute to her zest for life. This blend of 60% Sangiovese and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, often called “Super Tuscan” by Italian winemakers in the traditional Italian style, will raise funds for the people who help fight this terminal disease. We hope you enjoy it as Tilly would — with family, food, and people you will never forget. Join us for the tasting and raise a glass to Tilly.
Oreana wines are sold in 17 states and in China. You can find the label locally by going here:http://oreanawinery.com/findourwine.html. 10% of all sales of Tilly will generate funds for the California Central Coast Alzheimer’s Association.
