The Goleta Valley Historical Society acts as steward of historic center of “La Patera Rancho”. The nonprofit organization manages and preserves Rancho La Patera, the remaining five acres including the Stow House (1873), the surrounding museum sites, and the picturesque gardens.
Rancho La Patera hosts tours and educational programs as well as various public events, such as the Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration, Music at the Ranch Free Concert Series, the Rotary-sponsored Fiddler’s Festival, and Holiday at the Ranch.
Plan Your Visit:
The Stow House is open for guided tours Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 p.m and at 3:00 p.m.
Suggested donation for admission is $5 for adults and free admission for supervised children under 12.
Please begin your Stow House experience by stopping by the Museum Store to purchase admission to the museum.
Special Tours:
The museums and gardens are also open for guided tours by appointment during the week. We welcome group tours, commercial tours, community groups, youth groups, and school classes.
Our parking lot is accessible to tour busses and RVs.
